You’re a smart digital marketer and a natural communicator with an eye for numbers and a curiosity for how actions produce results. You instinctually see the big picture but you obsess the details because you understand that is where results are found. You have 2 to 3 years of agency experience and you have worked directly with brands and their digital platforms. You know that a good story can engage in any medium and you find equal joy in your books, magazines, phone and social networks. Your work ethic inspires others and you effortlessly command respect because you are both a listener and a doer. You like to work hard but you know how to have a good time and have things in your life, in addition to your work, that you are passionate about.

What’s a Digital Marketing Manager at Moon Tide?

Our Digital Marketing Managers are the engines of our client’s digital presence, which they manage on a day-to-day basis. Working within the digital team, they develop, execute and manage effective digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, including social, email and web.

Among other things, the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for:

  • Deeply understanding our and our partners’ businesses and the specific objectives that have led them to engage us.
  • Developing and executing the digital marketing campaigns that will allow us to deliver measurable business results for ourselves and our partners.
  • Caring about the results and presenting them internally and to our clients in a comprehensive and constructive format.
  • Managing day-to-day communications internally and with our clients.
  • Marshaling and coordinating all the internal and external resources necessary for success.
  • Making sure that we are in front of every deadline and anticipating every request.
  • “Owning It”, which means gracefully solving whatever problems or challenges present themselves along the way, without having to being asked.

Got What it Takes?

  • Organic and paid social media fluency
  • An eye for great design
  • Savvy with WordPress and other CMS platforms, no coding required but basic HTML/CSS preferred
  • Ability to digest and breakdown analytics (social, email, web) and build reports containing actionable insights
  • Comfortable with email marketing platforms, building emails from templates and scheduling campaigns
  • Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign and Photoshop a plus
  • Willing and eager to take on projects outside of your comfort zone, and own them through completion.
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines for multiple projects
  • Self-starter with meticulous attention to detail

Our Account Executives know that solving marketers’ problems requires hard work, empathy and the intellectual curiosity to know a client’s business. They craft solutions and don’t simply sell pages or banners. They are accountable and take care of themselves, but they have a great team sensibility. They work with our clients and our partners to make sure their needs are met on our end and that they are doing what’s required on their end. Our Account Execs delight our clients with smarts, charm, hard work and an awesome attitude. There’s no wall they won’t walk through to get the job done, but they also have soft elbows.

Among other things, our Account Executives are responsible for:

  • Selling advertising space in Southbay magazine, com related digital platforms and other Moon Tide properties
  • Knowing their client’s business well enough to recommend solutions that make sense
  • Being both tenacious and lovable at the same time
  • Making the right sales calls

Got What it Takes?

  • 5+ years of media sales experience with the ability to walk in and grow an established client portfolio
  • Digital Media fluency
  • S. citizen or legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Sponsorship is not offered

The specifics? 2 or more days in the office (El Segundo) Work evening events in the South Bay and the SF Valley a few times per month (usually on Thursdays) For credit only Students interested in majoring in Marketing & Communications preferred Interest in social media strategy, experiential event planning, and digital marketing a must!

You are interested wearing a lot of hats and seeing all sides of the marketing department – whether that be working vigorously at a desk or on your feet helping run an event. No job is too big or too small and you do whatever it takes to help the events team create experiential events that will wow the community. You love marketing and are eager to learn the in’s and out’s of marketing a local lifestyle magazine to potential clients.
